Emotional Intelligence
Developing Your Emotional Intelligence...

What is Emotional Intelligence?
Emotions determine how our day will plan out, how we will interact with others, how productive and effective we will be, in fact, they drive everything we do. Yet, how good are we at knowing what emotions are driving us and how to manage them to get the best results for us and for others.
Emotional Intelligence is having an awareness of how our emotions drive our behaviour and how we then manage our emotions to get the impact we want. It is not about suppressing emotion or hiding it, it is about expressing it and controlling it in a way that is going to give you the impact you are aiming for.
There is a lot of evidence showing EI to predict performance as much as or more than IQ (Goleman, 1996). The good thing about Emotional Intelligence is that we can develop it by understanding how our brain processes them and learning techniques to manage them.
